India's Ajay Jayaram reached the final of the Vietnam Open badminton tournament. Jairam, 30, a 30-year-old Indian, qualified for the title match defeating Japan's Yu Egaryashi 21-14 21-19. In the finals of the $ 75,000 prize tournament, Jairam will take on world number 79 Shamsar Hiren Rahuustavito in the world rankings. Sheesar, who won the Indonesia Open four times in a row, advanced to the second semi-finals, defeating India's Mithun Manjunath 21-17, 19-21, 21-14.

Ajay Jayaram and Rituparna Das entered the pre-quarterfinal finale of Wednesday's $ 75,000 Vietnam Open badminton tournament. Jayaram beat Gatjara Piliyang Fikwihila Kupu of Indonesia 21-7, 21-16.
